Innately curious, sincerely motivated & socially considered.

To me, architecture in its many forms, facets, and articulations is one of society’s most influential forces. Whether it be elegantly contextual fish traps of Indigenous Australians or hyper-complex airport terminals, the architecture we produce mirror our existing cultural values while driving their evolution.

Architectural space forms the solvent necessary for human experience, consequently influencing our communication, actions, and beliefs. It seeps through our lives and our identities, shaping who we are and what we stand for. Therefore, architects are not just designer but key contributors to our communal destiny, carrying the responsibility to shape our world in engaging, qualitative, and, above all, beneficial ways.

With this in mind, my design practice centres human experiences to produce places that radically embody and mould their community and context. I believe all spaces should have an element of discoverability, whether that be an unexpectedly considered window, uniquely ergonomic pathway, or a complex yet intuitive integration with site. Further places should be designed in consideration of their total impact, not just based on the current conditions but also the future community and environment the structure contributes to.

My design process is akin to that of an an interpreter. I compile data, research, primary experiences, environmental information and far-flung historic precedence to not just translate a structure but produce a cohesive and relevant space based on intent and meaning. This creates architecture that challenges unnecessary community stigmas while still connecting with people on a personal level, in a way that matters to them. This is further aided through my use of storytelling as a method of humanisation, allowing the integration of qualitative experiences into complex structural problems.

Through these methods and more, I have been able to produce designs that are intuitive, holistic, kind, responsive, and catalytic. Often, they are multi-polar with a decentralized presence that fosters interpersonal connections, creates rewarding individual experiences, and imparts an emotional ownership to their occupants.
